Windows 10 Tutorial: Import Passwords To Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge may be a new web browser, but its market share is steadily rising. New Windows 10 users continue to give this new solution a try as they upgrade to the OS.

One of the most important aspects of switching to a new web browser, however, is bringing the saved passwords from your old one. This is indeed possible on Microsoft Edge, albeit the settings to do so are tucked away out of sight.

To get started, simply open up Microsoft Edge.

Now, click on the hub icon in the top right-hand corner of the browser’s display, and in the new panel that is displayed, select the Settings option at the very bottom.

Under the Favorites heading, you will find an option View favorites settings as a button.

Here, you will see an Import favorites heading, which can actually be use to import your passwords, even if it does not make it specifically clear.

Once the process is complete, you will see an All done! message display, and your passwords from the previous web browser will be transferred over to Microsoft Edge. Now, when you use Edge, it will conveniently remember the same passwords that your previous browser did.
