  1. Can we use this ISO to do a clean install after upgrading? Or do we have to buy a key for this? And what does “upgrade this PC” do with this tool? The free upgrade or must we buy a key?

  2. is this the same 10240 version released earlier or a new. if same do i need to overwrite my previous build 10240 with it?

    • No, this is the official RTM version. 101240 was not official RTM. And i don’t think you can overwrite from 101240. You need a key to install this ISO (as I see it)

      • You do not need a key if you are installing clean IF you have previously installed as an upgrade on this machine. I just did it – you have to select to SKIP entering a PID during install

        • Well if you look at what it says:

          Some requirements:

A good internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).

A blank USB or DVD (and DVD burner) with at least 4 GB of space if you want to create media.

          A Windows product key (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx).

And when you have created the media /iso it says have your product key ready…..
I don’t believe you…send some screenshots of your instrallation . If you don’t need a key as you wroye, then Windows 10 is completely free for everyone? Come on…use your common sense.

  3. Shouldn’t we be able to just clean install this and activate it by using microsoft account? Thats how I activated build 10240 anyways.

    • No….this is an UPGRADE OFFER! Can’t you read or do you not understand the word UPGRADE? If you are an Insider you will get an update via windows update. You MUST upgrade first to validate your Windows 7/8.1 copy. When passed and upgraded you can do a clean install on the same device. OMG! Do people not read? If you want to do a clean install and not an upgrade you must buy a copy of Windows 10.

      • Just stfu, u know nothing John snow… “Thank you to our Windows Insiders for helping us build Windows 10. If you’re a Windows Insider and running build 10240 – you already have the Windows 10 we are making available today. All you need to do is check Windows Update and make sure you have all the final updates. If you didn’t upgrade to the latest build as a Windows Insider, you can upgrade here. The Windows Insider Program will continue, and we will have more details to share soon about the next wave of the program.” And also, it seems like you didn’t read what I wrote… Since I never said I used a public key when clean installing 10240 build. I just logged in with my mail, since it seems like my 8.1 already was validated… So yeah, you are making a fool out of yourself being mad on the internet.

        • Then why are you asking this: “Shouldn’t we be able to just clean install this and activate it by using microsoft account?” If you are an Insider you will get the final update through windows update. That’s what I wrote. You can’t read and you don’t understand. Period. You are asking a question you have the answer to. The way you have activated 101240 is because you have upgraded from an earlier build and you are an Insider, Then you didn’t have to put in any key. You just upgraded from an earlier build. Now it’s final build and it’s complete different. Either you get the final update through Windows update (Insider) or you do the upgrade through Windows 7/8.1. After upgrading you can do a clean install. NOT BEFORE! There is no other way. So don’t ask a stupid question when you know the answer.

          • Because I got this information after I asked the question.
It did? to get “windows is activated” I had to connect my microsoft account. And there was also a lot of public keys for people to use to activate it. 10240 is the same as released today as it stated in my quote. I have Windows 10 Pro.

  4. Hey I have Insider Preview 10240 (RTM) installed.
I hav’nt received the Upgrade to Final Yet.
How to update NOW ? please help
