Requirements

Before we get started, ensure that both your Android device and the laptop running Windows 10 are connected to the same wireless network. Additionally, ensure that your Windows 10 PC has the Windows 10 anniversary update which comes with the Connect App which will enable you to mirror your Android device’s output to Windows 10.

To cast your Android device to your Windows 10 PC and make the best of the moment, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Firstly, Head out to the search text field located on the taskbar and type in ‘Connect‘. On the pull-up menu that appears, click on the ‘Connect‘ App as shown.

The ‘Connect‘ App will be launched awaiting for any connections as shown below:

Step 2: Next, Swipe your phone from top to bottom and tap on the ‘cast’ button as shown below. If the cast button is not available, click on edit and drag the cast button on the menu to activate it.

Step 3: On the cast screen section, click on ‘more settings‘ located at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: On the next screen, tap on the 3 small dots on the upper right corner and tap on the ‘Enable wireless display‘ option to turn on the wireless connection which will allow the Android device to communicate with the PC.

Step 5: Your PC will soon be listed under the ‘Devices list’ as a wireless display as shown below.

Step 6: Tap on your PC which has been listed and the Connect App will indicate that you are trying to establish a connection from your Android phone.

Shortly after, your phone’s interface will be mirrored on the Connect App as shown
