Windows 10 comes with the best customizable feature of all. With this excellent OS, you can almost do anything. But what about setting animated GIF image as background?
I mean who doesn’t love GIF images nowadays. They are cool and can say so many things than a standard image. But not until recently they started to support on popular websites like Facebook and Twitter.
And so among all the GIFs, you are going to have a favorite one or two. So, if you wish to set it as a background, how will you do that? If you ever have tried it before you would see that if you set it as a background, it’s just a still photo instead of a moving one.
So, how can you make them move? Is there any feature in Windows 10? Unfortunately no, Windows 10 doesn’t have this feature, so you have to look for a solution somewhere else. Don’t worry I’ll tell you how you can do it. You just have to use some third party software.
Yes, third party software's are not that much trustworthy, but if you choose the right one you don’t have to worry about any virus attack.
There are lots of software's available online. You have to buy some of them, and some are just free. And I know spending money just for an animated GIF image as a background is a little too much, right?
So, today I’ll discuss a completely free software called BioniX, which does the job well. It’s not fancy or anything but gets the job done smoothly. So let’s see how it works out.
For setting it in Windows 10, you have to follow the steps below. It’s super easy, so you’ll have no problem following them.

Step-4: After you have found it, click it, and you’ll see other tabs opening from it. Next, look for Playlist tab.
Step-5: Once you have found it, you’ll see a file icon there in the leftmost corner. Click it and browse to the GIF file you wanted as a background. Once you have found it, click on it to get it on the playlist.
Step-6: After that right click on file and select Apply/Refresh Wallpaper to set the GIF. Or you could also press f5 to do that. And you’re done!
Now you’ll see your precious GIF as your background. But you have to keep running the tool to make the GIF run in the background. So you have to configure it to start at Windows startup.
And if you want to make it stop you just have to click the stop button in the tool, and it’ll stop running.
See, it was straightforward to do. Now you know how to set animated GIF image as background in Windows 10. But do remember as it will take up some of your resources and will drain your battery a bit faster. But if it’s the price you want to pay then you should go for it.
