3DMark Time Spy DirectX 12 Benchmark Is Here

There are only a handful of benchmark software makers, and Futuremark is one of them. The company of 3DMark fame has just made its Time Spy DirectX 12 test official for all versions of Windows.

This is, of course, from the same company that has been making tools like this since 1998.

AMD, Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA and others participated in the Futuremark Development Program to create this test that supports features like asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter, as well as multi-threading.

All features that Microsoft has built into DirectX 12, the latest version of the technology that is exclusive to the Windows 10 operating system.

Here are some screenshots:

And a trailer, teaser, actually:

This promises to be a popular software for those interested in comparing their tablets, phones, laptops and PCs with stress test and easily understandable benchmarks. Though it probably will remain in the domain of technology enthusiasts, professionals, reviewers and developers.

You can buy it from Steam here, where it is available on sale starting today until July 4, as part of the Steam Summer Sale promotion.
